| GOLDEN GATE QUARTET. Since 68 years, The Golden Gate Quartet has brought Joy through his songs, his music and his international "showmanship" reputation. Today, he still carries on this same style and tradition.
Founded in 1934 in Norfolk (Virginia, USA), the quartet involved four young men who obtained a very different sound from what was heard in churches of that time, which stood faithful to the original Negro spiritual. Then, they took part in the boom of a new genre: the gospel.
Clyde Wright, tenor of the group since 1954, leads now a renewed group who is going to issue a brand new CD next fall.
